Once I was a sane, levelheaded professional woman. Then I said “yes.” Now I am the lunatic bride I always made fun of!What is it about getting married that turns normal people into total freaks?A savvy, riotously funny novel, Diary of a Mad Bride is for anyone who has ever been a bride, is about to become a bride, yearned to be a bride, or suffered the sheer indignity of appearing in public in the world’s ugliest bridesmaid dress....My wedding was starting in less than twenty minutes, and I was stuck in a 7-Eleven parking lot with popcorn kernels wedged in my gums and vanilla ice cream melting on my dress. It was a disaster too large to comprehend. After an agonizing year spent planning my wedding, could it really end like this? The voices chronicling a year of wedding hysteria swirled in my head....— My grandmother upon viewing my engagement ring:“What do you mean he gave you an emerald! Diamonds are eternal, emeralds say, maybe five years.”— My future father-in-law on the night of my engagement party:“To a happy marriage and, if necessary, a painless divorce!”— My best friend, Anita:“Oh, screw congratulations. Of course I’m happy for you. Stephen’s a major piece of ass and he’s got a sense of humor. Just as long as you’re certain this is what you want.” Would I survive this day after all....?

Rating: out of 5 stars - Any bride to be should read this Book
Sara Thomas is getting married. That is the start of something big. She writes about her trials before the wedding. She is so funny. The "Official Things to Do List" is great. Wish I had that list to use when I was getting married. The books makes you part of the wedding. Any woman getting married knows there is going to be trouble. From parents, friends, caterers, etc. This book is a must before you get married. If only to take your mind off all the hassles you are going through. A little time off ... Read More

Rating: out of 5 stars - Absolutely hysterical
One of the funniest books I have ever read. I have known this bride and predict that some of my engaged friends will become her if they don't read this absolute joy of a book!

Rating: out of 5 stars - A book to put the whole wedding planning process into perspective..
This is a great book for brides-to-be. It was funny and entertaining and puts the whole idea of a wedding and wedding planning into perspective.

Rating: out of 5 stars - Very Cute...
This story is about "Bridal Madness". A cute story about Amy and Stephen who decide to get married after Amy veto's the idea religiously in her mind. Now she is a bride about to become married and from her backstabbing co-worker Barry, to her complaining and lazy secretary Kate. Amy can't find the right shoes or shoes at all. Freaks out about flowers and calls her friends at 3:00 am to talk about "whatever" comes to mind about her upcoming nuptials!

Very Enjoyable read...

Rating: out of 5 stars - Frontier dresses, children's tiara's, $400 shoes...OH MY!!!
Laura Wolf's 'DIARY OF A MAD BRIDE' catalogs the count down to Amy Thomas' big day and all of the craziness that ensues before hand. Beginning with Amy being a bridesmaid in one of her best friends wedding and swearing that if she ever got married she would not become a "bridezilla" as her friend had. The reader watches as Amy go from a level headed bride-to-be to an almost crazed "bridezilla" herself!

Wolf has written a hilarious account of how stressful planing a wedding can actually ... Read More
