Like the previous editions, this is a very practical book, with treatment recommendations and diagnostic workup protocols unabashedly based on the personal practices of the contributing authors (when universally accepted practices don't exist for the disease in question). I have a copy handy in my clinic office and refer to it not infrequently. It is very worthwhile to read through; the chapters on individual diseases are excellent as succinct reviews, though references are kept to a bare minimum. ... Read More

The book is true to the previous editions. The format is similar. If you liked the earlier editions you will like this one. If you are not familiar with the series it provides concise summaries of the most common conditions in neurology and appropriate treatment strategies. The included CD ROM is the previous edition of the book verbatim. Since the book complements but does not replace the earlier volumes, this is handy. However, it was a little disappointing.
