The books content is good so far however the book is a softcover. After 3 weeks of school the binding is starting to come apart. Seeing how the hardcover is no longer in print, do yourself a favor and buy the international edition. The north American softcover edition isn't worth the money I paid for it.
Rating: - cheaper new book
I found this book kere with lower prise and in new condition.. So what can i more expect?
Rating: - I thought this book was lacking in alot of areas...
Not only does the author expect you to follow along no problem while he throws out all these expressions, but he also makes ALOT of mistakes. There are alot, and I mean alot, of mistakes in the example problems and the problems at the end of the chapter. Very difficult book to follow. Not really all that good for design work if some of his expressions he derives are wrong from the get go.
Rating: - terrible book
This book makes power electronics needlessly complicated and is not even written well. Examples are useless because the equations used are poorly explained. Sometimes variables are used with no explanation of their meaning.
Rating: - A must textbook on power electronics
This should be a must textbook for any engineering student in power electronics. It is easy to read and explains the fundamentals of devices used in power electronics and their applications. Once the topics from this book are understood, future, more complex studies will be easy. After reading this book I got a through understanding of electronic components used in power electronics.
