This book is exactly what the subtitle says: an intro to seven countries. It is not exactly a book on comparative politics, although that's the course where it would be used. It devotes about 70(!) pages to each of the countries. Given the standard size type and almost total lack of pictures or feature boxes, the reader gets a LOT of info.
