I purchased this book in nursing school. It was the only "pocket" reference book that actually fit in my pocket! The book is comprehensive without a bunch of filler. Now that I'm an RN, I still carry it and refer to it often. There is a "nursing" version of this book, but to my mind it contains excess, useless verbiage. Other pocket med books are out there, but this one is the best.

I am a new RN and use this reference guide every day. It is small enough to carry in my pocket or clip to the patient's chart. It is easy to use and contains all the essential information. There has not been a single medication that I looked up that was not in this guide. Drugs are listed by the generic name with trade name in parentheses. I have only been using it for a short time but it does provide the info. i want and need as a nurse, set up takes a little getting use to!
