Editorial Review: A quick reference guide to the diagnosis and treatment of common primary care problems. The information is presented in such a way as to help students and physicians quickly form a list of possible diagnoses, perform a cost-effective diagnostic work-up, and prescribe therapy for the most common causes of acute and chronic complaints. Principles of clinical decision making and efficient management strategies are integrated throughout the book.
Customer Reviews
Average Rating:
Rating: - Great book
I must say that it is one of the great books about family medicine, the only drawback is the text size.
Rating: - An Amazing "Fast Facts" Collection for Family Medicine
I've been looking for this kind of text for a while. Terse enough for board review, complete enough for reference and teaching (I am an adjunct faculty member of a family medicine residency program). I've recommended it without equivocation to all our residents.
Rating: - Ideal for the day-to-day family medicine (review and/or practice)
Of course there are other Family Medicine textbooks out there that can be useful, but this Family Medicine textbook includes a tremendous amount of clinical information handy for the daily review in rotations on this field. This book proof that not always the more expensive books are the best, this is an excellent and affordable book.
Rating: - Ideal for revision
The authors have managed to fit a tremendous amount into this book's nearly 800 pages. highly recommended for revision if you don't mind the outline format.
