Editorial Review:While every parent would like to see his or her child head off to Harvard, Princeton, Yale or Columbia, the reality is that very few students are Ivy League material. Many parents overestimate or simply neglect to evaluate their child’s academic qualifications. 150 Great Colleges for Mid-Range Students is designed to help parents and their children realistically assess the child’s scholastic ability and select the most suitable college. The book: - Defines just who the average or mid-range student is
- Uses clear criteria for the selection of the 150 best mid-range colleges
- Provides detailed descriptions of all the featured colleges
Bad matches between colleges and students have led to a 30 percent freshman dropout rate and an even higher percentage of transfers and delayed graduations. 150 Great Colleges for Everyday Students equips parents and students with the information they need to make the right decision.

Here, Palladino attempts to capture the college's distinctiveness ... Read More

Even if you're insisting that your child go to a school listed in Fiske, if your child is a "mid-range" student, it might be good to see if Palladino lists ... Read More
